PlayStation Vita system software
PlayStation Vita System Software is the official, updatable firmware for the PlayStation Vita. Updates can be obtained in three ways:
- Download to the PS Vita over Wi-Fi. This can be performed by choosing [Settings], [System Update], [Update Using Wi-Fi].[1]
- Download to the PS Vita via the PS3. This can be performed by connecting the PS3 and PS Vita systems using a USB cable, then going to [Settings], [System Update], [Update by Connecting to a PS3 System].[2]
- Download to the PS Vita via a PC by using the Content Manager Assistant software.[3]
- Install via a PS Vita game card.[4]
The latest version of the system software is 1.51 (as of December 27, 2011).[5]
